EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENT FIELD OF ACTIONS

 

Objectives:

  • To contribute to the prevention and reduction of vulnerability and personal and social risks of children and teenagers aiming the awareness and the environmental preservation;

  • To strengthen the human capital and the socio-environmental responsibilities with actions of education for the citizenship, formation of environmental educators, social organization, education on environmental health and the generation and appropriation of income (activities of recycling, crafts, reutilization of food, extending the access to the job market and professional qualification);

  • To become aware and aggregate values such as citizenship, respect for others, respect for the environment and the preservation of the water, of the sole, of the air, of the fauna and the flora;

  •  To strengthen the critical comprehension of the contemporaneous socio-environmental issue aiming the sensitization for environmental protection, preservation and recovery;

  •  To understand the Environmental Education as a knowledge acquisition and the ecological know-how, through workshops, lectures, discussions forums and visits to areas of high ecological importance;

  • To qualify as a multiplier-agent of the actions of environmental education and its implications in a local level (in the family, in the school, in the companies, in the society);

  • To promote the involvement of the students, teachers, parents and the civil society on the defense of the world sustainability;

  • To develop the comprehension and to incorporate in a progressive way the concept of the socially responsible corporate behavior aiming to demonstrate to the collaborators, shareholders and businesspeople the importance for a long-term return of their investments;

Our action

The environmental education is understood as a continuous and permanent process that searches for the formation of people to transform the social reality, with the objective of proposing actions of environmental preservation and conservation minimizing the impacts and the social control on the use of natural resources.

It is known that everyone can and must participate on the environmental issues as a way of inclusion and respect for the diversity in activities related to the nature, such as the perform of physical activities, recreational, tourism, of environmental education and preservation.

Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility!

It is up to the school to develop the Environmental Education involving the students, parents, teachers, directors, collaborators and the civil society on the sustainable use and care towards the environment, generation of waste and disposal in accordance with the minimization of the impacts and pollution control.

It is up to the companies as economically active institutions, socially responsible and promoters of the economy development of the nation, to adopt ethical standards of conduct that values the human being, the society and the environment. The importance of the safety on the operational activities that aim the environmental balance is highlighted, the health and the well-being of the workers and the commitment with the society, supporting social projects and actions of environmental preservation and education focused on the sustainable development of the communities and the areas where they are located.

It is proposed the development of studies and researches that contribute to the rationalization of the consume of natural resources, searching to diversify the use of the sources of energy and stimulate its rational use, minimizing the impacts and controlling the pollution of the environment, in way that introduces concepts and practices in pedagogical actions of environmental education, recycling and reutilization of inputs as the maintenance of a more balanced society, equal and environmentally sustainable, expanding the critical awareness, the participation of the people and the quality of life of the people and the planet.
